Topics

The conference will cover three thematic pillars and contributions can be submitted in one of the three following topics.

Fundamental Science (Theory)

This include, but not limited to:

  • Tests of relativity with quantum states of light
  • Theoretical investigation of the relation between entanglement and gravity
  • Optical quantum metrology for space experiments

Free-space experiments with quantum states of light

The main drivers for distributing quantum states of light in space is quantum communication. However, those experiments could also have further scientific relevance towards testing alternative theories. The submissions can cover, but not being limited to:

  • Discrete and continuous variable quantum communication / Quantum key distribution
  • Experimental entanglement distribution

Classical photonics technologies in space

Optical technologies have been developed for a wide range of classical space applications, including:

  • Free space optical communications
  • Optical time and frequency transfer
  • Satellite laser ranging and laser altimetry
  • Optical sensing
